Ultrasonic / Sonic blast AND Strobe shock lights for severe or difficult animal pest situations. It also doubles as a method of deterring unwelcome human intrusion.
The advanced Animal-Away PLUS combines a PIR (passive Infrared) detection system, ultrasonic, sonic AND very bright flashing strobe light to provide a convenient, versatile, effective and humane way to deter unwelcome animals from your garden or yard. Primarily a cat repeller it is effective against dogs, rabbits, deer, squirrels, field rodents, foxes and other animals irritated or disconcerted by the unique audiovisual effect combination.
The PIR monitors a fan shape area of 70 degrees arc. When intruding creatures are detected, Animal-Away PLUS kicks into action by emitting a very loud ultrasonic blast sequence (virtually inaudible to humans) or, if you set the switch accordingly, a mixture of sonic and ultrasonic noise which you would be able to hear. At the same time as the sound blast the LED strobe flash sequence starts to inflict maximum confusion and discomfiture to the target animal - without actually harming it. The sound is continuously variable and measures up to 24,000 Hz. A function button on the face of the unit can be used as a test control and also to shift frequency from ultrasonic to sonic. The latter is ideal for scaring birds or older animals that could be less receptive to ultrasonic noise.
Animal-Away PLUS is operated with 2x 9v alkaline batteries to provide you with a device that can be operated almost anywhere. An optional UK, Euro or US power adapter is available if preferred. The unit can be fixed to a wall (via the mounting keyhole on the rear of the weather protection case), a wooden stake (not provided), or left free standing.
